A New Dimension

When in our music God is glorified,
and adoration leaves no room for pride,
it is as though the whole creation cried
Alleluia!

How often, making music, we have found
a new dimension in the world of sound,
as worship moved us to a more profound
Alleluia!

So has the Church, in liturgy and song,
in faith and love, through centuries of wrong,
borne witness to the truth in every tongue,
Alleluia!

And did not Jesus sing a psalm that night
when utmost evil strove against the Light?
Then let us sing, for whom he won the fight,
Alleluia!

Let every instrument be tuned for praise!
Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise!
And may God give us faith to sing always
Alleluia!

  1. #1 I like these lyrics. In fact, your regular postings of songs and poetry has inspired me to do the same thing.

#2 I was thinking about one of your older posts that talks about people "shh"ing others in choir. Back then, I only ASSUMED that I would agree with you about the annoying-factor of such individuals. Thanks to a certain first alto whose name I shall not disclose here, I now KNOW I agree with you and I'm tempted to write my own rant.

#3 Both of the aforementioned points just go to show that I'm nothing more than a plagiarist of your wisdom.

    #4 The end.
